KERI KERI

Kaimanga Lodge

Kaimanga Lodge is a luxury B&B style accommodation, which offers quality and peaceful hospitality set on 6acres of private gardens. Located just a few minutes drive from KeriKeri, Kaimanga Lodge features two types of accommodation: a fully self-contained cottage or a bed & breakfast suite in the main lodge.

Suzie and Martin were great hosts and really made us feel welcome. Suzie actually admitted that she had woken up at 4am that morning to prepare for our arrival because she was so excited. We thought that was really nice.

The Fantail self-contained Cottage features a large queen sized bedroom, open plan kitchen with full cooking facilities, large sitting room, a separate dining area and a spacious en-suite bathroom. The cottage is great for a small family or couple looking to have their own private sanctuary.

The suite inside the main lodge features its own secluded head quarters at one end of the house. This is great for guests who do not wish to socialise as you have all the facilities you need at one end. Including a Large Super-King sized bedroom, a separate lounge room, a bathroom with a double spa bath and double shower, and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities.

Their bed and breakfast includes a continental breakfast of fresh seasonal fruits, cereals and home made breads served in the Lodge dining room. They will also provide dinner if requested however there are some great restaurants in Kerikeri. ‘Kaimanga’ actually means vegetarian in Maori and Suzie and Martin cooked us a delicious vegetarian dinner. Honestly some of the best baked potatoes I have ever had (sorry mum).

Kaimanga Lodge is ideal for a relaxing break in the Bay of Islands. Their beautiful secret gardens are waiting to be explored with kauri and nikau trees planted throughout. Set away from the main house and surrounded by large trees for total privacy, the tropical swimming pool is a great place to relax and catch some rays.

Suzie and Martin also offer free broadband and wireless Internet if you need to check your emails and catch up on work, which is great!
