Reasons why I should WIN!

Im one of the youngest candidates among the top 10 finalists, therefore I will be more energetic and enthusiastic about meeting new people, attracting people to my blog and basically promoting Entirely Kiwi and New Zealand through any means possible.

I've been studying a Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management for the past 3 years so what better position to go into then the Entirely World Famous job.

The University of Queensland has recognised my ability to promote myself as well as the university, and has nominated me as the ambassador for the School of Tourism. This required me to promote the Tourism Regional Internship Program that I am participating in. On Tuesday this week I helped launch this program and had the opportunity to present in front of the minister for Tourism Queensland- Peter Lawlor as well as other industry leaders in the Tourism Industry.

Finally I'm really passionate about tourism and want this job so badly. I will do absolutely anything to win this!!

My adventures in New Zealand

I have only been to Queenstown and Christchurch in New Zealand and they were both amazing places! But I couldn't really tell you much about Christchurch from a personal point of view because I was only there for 2 nights! But we stayed in The Millennium and they were great! Really beautiful hotel!

We drove from Christchurch to Queesntown which proved to be quite the disaster! The car hire company who we went through (I won't name names) didn't put any chains in our car! When we were driving through Lindis Pass it started to heavily snow! and we were trapped! haha we even got on the news! My mum was having a freak out that we were going to be stranded here all night but I thought it was the funniest thing ever!

The drive wasn't all bad though we stopped off at a lot of places along the way, taking in the scenery. We stopped at Ashburton, Geraldine, Lake Pukaki as well as a few look out points!

When we finally arrived in Queenstown I was astonished as to how beautiful it is! There are no words to describe it and pictures do not give it justice! It is such a magical little town! I was lucky enough to experience snow fall in town when I was there which was just amazing!!

I've been to Queenstown twice, the first time I stayed at the Novotel which is great value for money and is right in the centre of town! Was a great place to stay! Photobucket

But if your after a self contained hotel to save a bit of moola and you have a group of you going then I would recommend The Glebe! Its 5 star, it gets serviced everyday and its self contained! Cost me $800 for 2 weeks! BARGAIN! (considering its 5*)

I snowboarded when I was there and we went to the Remarkables, Coronet Peak, Cardrona and Treble Cone. All four of these places are completely different which is good because you get a variety. But I have to say we preferred coronet peak so spent most days there. The only downer was the fact that there was soo many people there!

Winnies!!! They make the best pizzas. Its great for a pre and post night out! (turns into a nightclub after 10)!

One more tip if you are going to have a night out even if its not going to be a huge one go on the pub crawl! It such great value for money! It cost $25 and you get half price drinks all night. You also get a shot at the entry of every bar and you go to 6 bars so that 6 free shots!! You also get free food all night! So cheap!!

(I'm blocking my nose because it really was a horrible shot! Not sure what was in it but the only way I could shot it was by blocking my nose so I couldn't taste it!!)

So far I have been on channel 9 news and I just had a photo shoot with a photographer from the Courier Mail this morning which was awesome! I felt like a movie star haha. So hopefully I will be in the Courier Mail tomorrow. For those of you who didn't see my 10 seconds of fame on friday night, you can view it on the nbn link above.
